D-Day, The Normandy landings

On Tuesday 6th June, 1944, the Allies invaded the beaches of Normandy. So began the liberation of German-occupied Europe, dubbed Operation Overlord. 

D-Day was the largest naval, air and land operation in history, and proved a decisive victory for Allied forces. Pulling together the resources of - not merely America, France, Britain and Canada - but numerous other nations as well, the operation proved instrumental in securing the defeat of the German army and the end of the war.

Ranville British War Cemetery

Arromanches and Mulberry Harbour

German Battery of Longues-sur-Mer

 

Day Four

Sainte-Mère-Église

La Cambe German war cemetery

American Cemetery Colleville sur Mer

Omaha Beach

Pointe du Hoc

 

Day Five

Depart for Zeebrugge (stopping en route to add additional visits)

 

Day Six

Depart Hull for drop-off points
